Caprock Mold Pros is a free referral service for Lubbock and the South Plains. You call one number, describe what you are dealing with, and we connect you with an independent mold remediation or water damage contractor working in your area. There is no charge for the call, no charge for the referral, and no charge for the on-site inspection.

We want to be plain about what that means, because a lot of websites in this industry are not. Caprock Mold Pros does not perform inspection, testing, removal, structural drying or reconstruction itself. When you hire, you hire the contractor directly, you see their credentials, and you sign their contract. Our job is to get the right person to your door quickly and to make sure you know what questions to ask them.

How This Works

1. You call or fill out the form. Tell us what you're seeing: a musty smell, a spot on a wall, a pipe that broke.

2. We connect you with a contractor. Someone working in Lubbock or the South Plains takes it from there and calls you back.

3. The contractor inspects for free. They come out, look, take moisture readings, and tell you what's going on in plain language.

4. You get it in writing. A written scope and price before any work starts. If there's a problem, the contractor stops the water first, contains the area, removes what can't be saved, cleans and treats what can, dries the structure to a measured standard, and puts it back together. You decide whether to hire them — that decision is never ours to make for you.

What Matters in a Mold Contractor

Fixing the cause, not just the symptom. Nearly every "the mold came back" story is a water source nobody addressed. A good contractor finds and kills that source as the first step, not an add-on.

Texas Licensing, in Plain English

Mold remediation in Texas is regulated by the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation. For projects of 25 contiguous square feet or more, the work must be performed by a licensed Mold Remediation Contractor working from a protocol written by an independent licensed Mold Assessment Consultant, and that assessor performs clearance afterward. The assessor and the remediator cannot be the same company. Homeowners doing their own residence are exempt below that threshold; landlords and commercial owners are not.
